KPBB, is an NGO with a mission to achieve net zero emission (emission neutrality for sustainability vision), such as to improve urban air quality and implement net-zero emission development/industry, as an effort to realize its vision of clean air, net-zero emission activities, and a livable environment.
To achieve this mission, KPBB conducts advocacy activities to improve fuel quality, promote net-zero emission vehicle/industry technology, encourage the implementation of traffic/transportation management, especially non-motorized vehicles (walking and cycling) and mass public transportation, implement emission standards, and enforce the law.
Meanwhile, our strategic agenda includes: research and studies, policy analysis/formulation, policy dialogue, public education, and influencing laws and regulations. Since 1996, this advocacy group has taken action/activities to achieve its goals. Activities have been implemented related to policy reform advocacy, such as policy dialogues among various stakeholders, pursues legal action, and formulates draft policies.
Campaign activities such as material distribution, media campaigns, talk shows, press conferences, long march demonstrations, and/or competitions are conducted to garner public support for improving fuel quality, particularly for the nationwide phase-out of leaded gasoline. KPBB consistently engages stakeholders from government, civil society, and the private sector in carrying out its mission through collaboration, cooperation, synergy, and other actions.
Youth Empowerment on Afforestation: Mangrove research/studies, public campaigns/education, policy analysis and dialogue, and legal efforts; to accelerate the development and implementation of net-zero emission industries throughout Indonesia. At the completion of each program phase, KPBB continuously monitors and evaluates results to ensure that efforts and/or policy reforms are implemented.
To support its activities, KPBB develops a communications strategy and implements it as a robust public campaign related to the dissemination of data and information on emissions inventories and assessments of their impacts on the environment and human health; conducts public education and training for youth and women, students, government officials, parliamentarians, the private sector, etc.; conducts Public Campaign: net-Zero Emission Vehicle.

The organization's structure is supported by leadership, staff, experts, and relevant volunteers, enabling it to carry out advocacy tasks effectively and efficiently. Recruitment is conducted based on specific needs, taking into account required expertise, skills, capacity, and experience. Volunteers contribute not only at the technical, field-implementation level but also include professionals who wish to dedicate their expertise to the mission undertaken by KPBB.
